NAD+ supplement has been shown to protect photoreceptor cells in the event of retinal detachment. The study by Vavvas and colleagues indicates that NMN increases the survival rate of these cells. It enhances their resilience against cell death and oxidative stress. These results are significant as they suggest NMN could prevent vision impairment progression. Such …

NAD+ Supplement Benefits Include Reducing Neuronal Damage and Improving Memory in Diabetic Rats with Hypoglycemia
NMN emerges as a protective agent against neuronal damage caused by hypoglycemia, a serious complication of insulin therapy in diabetes. The study conducted by Sakurai et al. reveals that administering NMN can counteract the neuronal damage and cognitive impairment typically induced by drops in blood glucose levels. The researchers observed reduced neuronal death by supplementing …

NAD+: New Study Finds NAD+ Precursors NR and NMN Effective in Reversing Endothelial Dysfunction
Recent research spearheaded by Mateuszuka and the team has cast a spotlight on the promising effects of NAD+ precursors. The focus was explicitly on nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) in the fight against blood vessel dysfunction. The study unveils that these compounds enhance the intracellular NAD+ content within endothelial cells and significantly inhibit …

New Study Finds Blocking CD38 Enzyme in Mice With Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Enhances Fertility and Prolongs Reproductive Lifespan
The Buck Institute conducted a study on female mice to explore the properties of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. The study revealed that the ovaries of normal female mice showed a 2-fold increase in CD38 and a decrease in NAD+ with age. As mice age, a surge in CD38 within the ovaries directly corresponds to a drop …

NAD+ Supplements Shield Against Deadly Sepsis and Aging According To Harvard Researchers
Our bodies are fortified by an intricate defense mechanism, the immune system. This system works efficiently to shield us against various pathogens and bacterial invasions. Yet, as we age, this shield gets weaker with the progression of time. This leaves our bodies vulnerable to potentially fatal inflammatory responses against bacterial infections, such as sepsis. However, …

NAD+ Supplement Offers Heart Failure Prevention According to Canadian Research
Heart failure (HF) is a growing concern, particularly for individuals over 50 years. The prevalence of HF doubles with every passing decade. While surgeries and medications can alleviate symptoms, a standard curative intervention remains hard to find. However, recent research suggests that lifestyle interventions and anti-ageing agents, such as an NAD+ supplement, might prevent heart …
