NAD is one of the most important and interesting molecules in the body.
This coenzyme is a linchpin in cellular processes, playing a vital role in DNA repair, energy metabolism, and gene expression.
NAD levels decrease with ageing.
As we age, NAD levels decrease, suggesting important effects on metabolic function and age-related disease.
If our NAD levels dropped to Zero, our bodies would shut down within seconds!
Unfortunately, as we age, our body begins to lose its natural ability to formulate NAD, losing up to 50% of our NAD levels between the ages of 40 and 60!
This decline in NAD means our cells are unable to produce the level of energy they need to maintain our health as we age, resulting in a significant reduction in quality of life.
